David M. Kight practices
primarily in the areas of labor relations and employment litigation.
He has consulted with clients on issues including union organization
campaigns, employee relations strategy development, and employee relations
diagnostic and improvement programs. He also conducts employee and
labor relations seminars.
Prior to joining Shughart
Thomson & Kilroy, Mr. Kight worked with a labor and employment
consulting firm, where he advised with healthcare clients on union
avoidance strategies, gave labor relations seminars, and provided
strategic advice during union representational campaigns.
Mr. Kight earned his
bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North
Carolina-Charlotte and his law degree from the University of Louisville
Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Kight was
managing editor for The Brandeis Brief, a member of the American Bar
Association Law Student Division Board of Governors, and the recipient of
the ABA-LSD Board of Governors Gold Key Award and the Phi Alpha Delta
Judge Alex J. Hotchkiss Award.
Mr. Kight is admitted to
practice in Kansas and the U.S. District Court, District of Kansas.
He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association and is active in the American
Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law and Health Care Law sections.
He is also a member of the ABA Young Lawyer's division. |
